How to Use this Directory

The Directory of Data Sources is organised thematically into six health and wellbeing categories, each containing short descriptions of the kind of information you can find within them. You can easily navigate these categories to see if they have the information you are after and select the one(s) in which you are interested.

Each category has a list of items that can be easily navigated for selection.

Each item has specific details about a data source. Details include a description of the information you will find there, its coverage (for example, local government area or smaller), its quality, what it is best used for, its reference period, and its release date. Each item contains a link to an external data source so you can easily access the information you need.

Who Can Use this Directory

The Directory of Data Sources can be used by anyone involved in health and wellbeing planning at the local level – for example, those working in the health, community and welfare sectors.

The Directory is designed to be of use to both planners with extensive experience and those new to planning.

The involvement of HealthWest Partnership in the development and hosting of the Directory reflects its broader relevance and we continue to encourage wide-ranging use.
